State Convention

***NEW IMPORTANT NOTE***

THERE WILL BE A MEETING FOR EVERYONE WHO IS GOING ON THE TRIP ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 5th. WE WILL LEAVE ON MAY 6th AND RETURN ON MAY 7th.

ALL TRIP MONEY, $60, IS DUE ON APRIL 14, 2010. IF YOU DO NOT PAY BY THIS DATE, YOU WILL NOT GO ON THE TRIP!!!

SMAMS Junior BETA Club will be attending the state conference on May 6th and 7th. This will be a Thursday and Friday. The conference will take place in Lafayette, Louisiana in the Cajun Dome.

Student eligibility for attending the state rally includes:

- Paid membership dues and a $20 travel deposit paid by 2/26/10
- 10 hours of community service (to be completed by April 15th)
- 3.0 G.P.A. or above
- Nt currently on academic probation

The student cost for the trip is $80. The fee includes:

- The student convention fee
- Hotel accommodations
- Transportation

Food will be provided by SMAMS Junior BETA Club.

Hotel and transportation arrangements are still in the works, and as soon as these plans are finalized, your Junior BETA sponsers will let you know.

As of yet, there will be approximately 100 SMAMS students attending the conference this year. Both Mrs. Segura and Ms. Kimbrough are going along with the students to the conference, but parent volunteers are still needed!

If you would like to join SMAMS Junior BETA as a chaperone to Lafayette, speak to Mrs. Segura or Ms. Kimbrough by Friday, March 19th. Your help will be greatly appreciated!!!
